Marylou Smith opened
her private practice as an Advanced Level PSYCH-K Facilitator in January
of 2008. She received her training from Rob Williams, the originator of
PSYCH-K, and Dr. Bruce Lipton, a well known cellular biologist and author of The Biology of Belief & Spontaneous Evolution.
Life provided Marylou with an urgent wake-up call in 2005 when a serious health challenge combined with the life changing lessons of Hurricane Katrina. This potent crisis launched an intensive search for answers to questions like:
- Why do healthy people get sick?
- Do our beliefs and intentions define our reality?
- What are we here to accomplish?
- How do we create a life of joy and meaning?
It was with these questions in mind that Marylou was first introduced to PSYCH-K. After reading Bruce Lipton's The Biology of Belief which presents compelling scientific evidence supporting the process of PSYCH-K, she recognized the enormous potential this simple method contained. This inspired her to take the training and test PSYCH-K out in her own life. Results were immediate and impressive. Her lifetime allergy to cats disappeared after one simple balance and she began taking risks and actions that had not felt possible before. Previous barriers to accomplishing her goals fell away as she experienced a new freedom and inner strength.
In 2011, Marylou continued to expand her knowledge and skills by completing the training provided by Dr. Eric Pearl, founder of Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection. It was in 2004 that she received her Reconnection, a process which set her life on a dramatically different path. This was the seed which has since grown into her current life's work and passion and she is very excited to add this service to her practice.
A background in psychology, counseling and 12 Step Recovery work provides a rich tapestry of life experiences that support Marylou's PSYCH-K and Reconnective Healing practice. Her work in business consulting, mediation, conflict resolution, group facilitation and education all add substance and depth to her work.
Marylou's approach is gentle, compassionate and focused. She provides an environment in which her clients access their own inner strength and innate wisdom, allowing them to powerfully move forward in the creation of a purposeful life.
